Lela Thompson is an experienced technical design assistant specializing in sweaters and knits, currently working at The Row since March 2021. Prior positions include assistant designer at The Kasper Group, where Lela designed sweaters and cut & sew knits for various labels, and freelance knitwear design assistant at Everlane. Lela's background includes a brand ambassador role at Naeem Khan and participation in the SUPIMA Design Competition, resulting in a five-look evening wear collection showcased at New York Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. Additional experience includes internships at Bernard Chaus, Inc. and Shima Seiki Haute Technology Laboratory. Lela holds a Bachelor of Science in Fashion/Apparel Design from Drexel University and continues education at the London College of Fashion.
