Deborah Brown

Deborah Brown is an experienced leader in health care and public policy, currently serving as the Chief External Affairs Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals since October 2019. Prior roles include Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for Health at the NYC Office of the Mayor, Vice President of External Affairs at Montefiore Health System, Senior Vice President at the Greater New York Hospital Association, and Senior Legislative Counsel at the New York City Council. Brown's legal expertise was further developed as an Associate at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, and as a Trial Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Honors Program. Deborah Brown holds a JD from Columbia Law School, a Master of Social Work with a focus on Policy & Programs from the Columbia School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
