Karim Farouki

Karim Farouki is a highly experienced technology executive currently serving as Chief Engineering Officer at NYDIG since March 2021. Previously, Karim held the position of Engineering Technical Leader at Bridgewater Associates, where technical leadership was provided for the Research Investment Engine. At Facebook, Karim excelled as Engineering Leader for the Realtime Data Infrastructure, developing essential tools and systems for data analytics and monitoring. Karim's extensive tenure at Microsoft included multiple key roles, such as Partner Group Engineering Manager for Office Sway, where foundational contributions were made to a cloud-first, mobile-centric app, and leadership of various engineering initiatives across Office Labs and other divisions. Karim holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Chemistry from Macalester College and attended Cairo American College from 1992 to 1996.
