Maria H. currently serves as the Immigration Services Manager and previously held the position of Senior Immigration Specialist at the New York Genome Center since March 2014. The New York Genome Center is a nonprofit academic research institution dedicated to advancing genomic research for neurodegenerative diseases, neuropsychiatric diseases, and cancer. Prior experience includes working as an Administrative Assistant and Family Liaison for the Peace Corps from September 2009 to March 2014, and various administrative roles at NorMed, Inc., AEGON UK, and Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center. Maria H. holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University and an Associate degree in English from Lower Columbia College.
