Thomas Lehner

Scientific Director, Neuropsychiatric Disease Genomics at The New York Genome Center

Thomas Lehner currently serves as the Director of Neuropsychiatric Disease Genomics at the New York Genome Center since January 2020. Prior to this role, Thomas held significant positions at the National Institute of Mental Health, including Senior Genomics Advisor and Chief of the Genomics Research Branch from 2004 to January 2020, along with serving as Director of the Office of Genomics Research Coordination at NIH from 2010 to January 2020. Thomas earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Human Biology/ Genetics from the University of Vienna and a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
