James Yang has over twenty years of experience in software engineering. James began their career in 1997 as a Senior Device Driver Engineer at S3 Graphics. In 2001, they moved to Linkup Systems as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2002, they joined ATI as a Chipset Driver Team Lead. In 2006, they transitioned to AMD in the same role. In 2008, they moved to Xsigo Systems as an SMTS. In 2010, they joined Violin Memory as a Director of Software Engineering. In 2017, they became the Director/Architect of Platform Engineering at ScaleFlux. Most recently, in 2021, they were appointed Principal Software Engineer at Nyriad.
James Yang has two Masters degrees, one in Computer Science from Fudan University and one in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
