Aura Weiner is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in product design and a strong focus on user experience and engagement. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Product Design for NYT Cooking at The New York Times since September 2016, Aura has contributed significantly to audience growth and product innovation, earning the NYTimes Publisher’s Award in Q4 2023. Previous roles at NYT Cooking include Product Design Director and Lead Product Designer, where Aura led successful strategies and design optimizations that substantially increased subscriptions and user engagement. Prior to this, Aura worked as a Senior Designer at Happy Cog, shaping design systems for prominent brands, and held various teaching positions and design internships that further developed a diverse skill set in graphic design and typography. Educational qualifications include an MFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
