Alexandra Yiachos

Alexandra Yiachos is currently a Clinical Research Fellow at NYU Langone Health, contributing to the Spine Research Group within the Orthopedics Department since July 2024. Previously, Alexandra served as a Short Stay Surgery Unit Volunteer at Cayuga Medical Center and as a Policy Analyst for the Cornell Roosevelt Institute, where advocacy and health policy analysis were key responsibilities. As a Research Assistant at Cornell's Health Design Innovations Lab, research focused on improving medication adherence for elderly individuals with cognitive decline. Experience as a Scientific Researcher at The Feinstein Institutes involved investigating maternal antibodies in autism spectrum disorder and conducting studies on neurobiology. Early career experiences included medical observation at Mount Sinai Doctors Staten Island Gastroenterology and independent research in music therapy at the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Policy and Pre-Medical Studies from Cornell University.
