Dimitri Martel

Research Scientist at NYU Langone Health

Dimitri Martel is a research scientist at NYU Langone Health, with experience in assessing bone health, studying diseases, and developing research ideas utilizing MRI and MRS techniques since January 2016. Previously, Dimitri served as a postdoctoral researcher focused on the application of MR methods to investigate bone health, encompassing aspects from microarchitecture to marrow. At the Centre de Recherche en Acquisition et Traitement de l'Image pour la Santé, from October 2011 to January 2015, Dimitri obtained a PhD while specializing in 2D MRS spectroscopy, developing new acquisition strategies and methodologies for brain metabolites and fatty acids. An internship at IR4M in early 2011 involved developing a 2D MRS sequence aimed at brain metabolism in ischemia. Dimitri holds a Doctorat in Biomedical Engineering from INSA Lyon and a Master's degree in Medical Physics from Paris-Sud University.
