Shayna Gruder

Shayna Gruder currently serves as a Graduate Social Work Intern in Adult Inpatient Medicine at NYU Langone Health, actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and conducting biopsychosocial assessments for effective discharge planning. Additionally, Shayna works as a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line, providing support to individuals in crisis through live chats and safety planning. Previous experience includes a Graduate Social Work Internship at Community of Unity, offering emotional and academic support to high school students, and a role with Liberation Programs, Inc., facilitating therapy sessions for pregnant and parenting women. Education includes a Master of Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stony Brook University.
