Cecil Scheib is an experienced sustainability leader currently serving as the Chief Sustainability Officer at New York University since January 2018. Previously, Cecil co-founded and served on the Board of Directors at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage from October 2011 to September 2019. As Chief Program Officer at Urban Green Council from June 2012 to June 2017, Cecil led various departments and acted as Executive Director when needed. Earlier roles include Advocacy Director at New York University and Director of Energy and Sustainability at Skyhouse Consulting from September 1996 to March 2007. Cecil holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, earned between 1989 and 1992.
