Emily Bettcher

Emily Bettcher is a seasoned librarian with extensive experience in various roles within library systems. Currently serving as the Special Collections Librarian at Oak Lawn Public Library since July 2019, Emily has a strong background in library services, starting as a Page in July 2002 and progressing to the Reader's Advisory/Help Desk role. Prior to this, Emily was the Learning Resource Center Director at Brookline College from December 2011 to June 2018 and worked as a Library Assistant at Normal Public Library from September 2005 to December 2007. An internship at the Natural Resource Conservation Service in 2007 provided experience in environmental library work. Emily holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Illinois State University.
