Nichole Brown

Nichole Brown is an experienced library professional with a strong background in management and community services. Currently serving as the Branch Manager at Oakland Public Library since September 2014, Nichole oversees the daily operations and a team of five staff members, focusing on customer engagement and service optimization. Previous roles include serving as Community Library Manager for Contra Costa County Library, where Nichole developed service plans and improved community relations, and working as a Children's Librarian in several library settings, including the San Francisco Public Library and Eastmont Branch. With a Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley, Nichole is dedicated to promoting literacy and accessibility within the community. Notable accomplishments include restructuring staff responsibilities to enhance customer service amid budget constraints.
