Pieter Frick

Pieter Frick is an accomplished academic and administrator with extensive experience in engineering education. Currently serving as a Professor and Dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Oakland University, Pieter has held prominent leadership positions including Dean of Engineering at San Diego State University and Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Pieter's foundational academic career includes roles as the Department Head at Portland State University, various positions at Oregon State University, and a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles. Pieter's early career involved research engineering at the South African Iron and Steel Corporation and military service in the South African Air Force. Educationally, Pieter holds a PhD in Control Systems from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, a Master's of Engineering from Stellenbosch University, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa.
