Brian Hughes serves as the Executive Vice President at Fremont Bank, where responsibilities include overseeing the growth of the nonprofit client banking segment, community redevelopment initiatives, corporate giving programs, and the bank's foundation. Since joining Fremont Bank in 1990, Brian has held various positions, including Director of Nonprofit Business Development and Operations Projects Manager. In addition to banking, Brian is involved in multiple community organizations, holding board positions with WASHINGTON HOSPITAL FOUNDATION INC, the Oakland Zoo, St. Rose Hospital Foundation, and previously with Niles Rotary, Kidango, Inc., Newark Chamber of Commerce, and Fremont Girls Softball Association. Brian's educational background includes an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Ohlone College.

Oakland Zoo
Oakland Zoo was established in 1922 and is managed by the Conservation Society of California, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of wildlife both locally and globally. The Zoo is home to over 700 native and exotic animals. We're recognized for our outstanding animal care, particularly our elephant care program, and for our Leed-certified, 17,000 square foot, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital—the largest wild animal veterinary facility in Northern California.
