Cathy Nichols

Cathy Nichols began their work experience in 2012 as a Co-Animation Director and Animator Intern at MacGillivray Freeman Films. Cathy then worked as a 3D Animation Intern at Innovative Leisure in 2012. In 2013, they joined InFocus Associates, Inc. as a Web Designer and IT professional, and later that year, they became an Animation Intern at Obsidian Entertainment. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Junior Animator at Obsidian Entertainment before moving up to the position of Character Animator from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, they became a Senior Character Animator and in 2019, they were promoted to Animation Director at Obsidian Entertainment, a role they held until January 2023. Currently, they serve as the Animation Director/Lead at Obsidian Entertainment.

Cathy Nichols attended Laguna College of Art and Design from 2009 to 2013, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Character Animation.
