Michael Terrien, a seasoned winemaker, has an extensive background in the wine industry. Michael is currently the winemaker at Bluet Maine Wild Blueberry Sparkling Wine, Terrien Wines, and U.S. Grant Wines. Previously, Michael was a partner and founding winemaker at Obsidian Wine Co. and held managerial positions at Kenzo Estate, Hanzell Vineyards Ltd, and Acacia Winery. Terrien holds a MS in Enology from the University of California, Davis and a BA in Philosophy from Columbia University.

Founded in 2003, Obsidian Wine Co. produces small quantities of hand-crafted wines from Napa and the Mayacamas Range under the Poseidon Vineyard & Obsidian Ridge. Our vineyards are in Napa Carneros and the high Mayacamas Mountains in Red Hills Lake County. Our winery and tasting room are in Sonoma, CA.
