Surya Merala

Surya Merala is a Senior Associate in Software Engineering at OCC, focused on process automation and the development of low-code applications for enterprise-level solutions since January 2024. Previously, Surya gained valuable experience as a Year-Round Intern in QA Enterprise Technology, working on automation testing with Selenium and Cucumber, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for high-quality application development. As a Student Assistant at Chicago Public Schools, Surya proctored examinations and managed student records using database software. Additionally, Surya served as an Associate Academic Coach at the Illinois Institute of Technology, providing guidance to undergraduate students in study planning. Past experience includes roles as a Software QA Engineer at Tailwebs Technology and a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Test Yantra, where Surya implemented QA methodologies and conducted various types of testing. Surya holds a Master of Science in Information Technology and Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from K S Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
