Salim Al Salmi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Permian EOR Reservoir Modeling Manager for CCUS Reservoir Studies at Oxy since April 2005. Salim has managed various significant roles, including Middle East Support Manager in Houston, Mukhaizna & Oman North Reservoir Characterization Manager, and Chief Petrophysicist for Oxy Oman. Salim's expertise covers reservoir studies, evaluation, and commercialization of thermal heavy oil projects. Prior to Oxy, Salim worked at Halliburton as a Principal Technical Professional and Senior Field Engineer, providing petrophysical support across multiple regions including Oman, Brazil, and Venezuela. Salim holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University and a certification as a Logging & Perforating Engineer from the HAL Learning Center in Dallas.
