Thomas Nemetz

Thomas Nemetz has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Thomas started their career at Accenture in 1989 as a Manager and worked there until 1995. From there, they joined Sony as the Managing Director of Sony Net Services, where they served from 1995 to 2007. After Sony, they worked at Reditune as the Managing Director from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, they became the Managing Director at DIGIPIT Management Dienstleistung GmbH. Currently, they are the CEO of Ocean Maps GmbH, a role they have held since 2015. Thomas has extensive experience in management and a proven track record of success in various industries.

Thomas Nemetz earned an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business from 1987 to 1989. Thomas then pursued a PhD in Business/Computer Science from Technische Universität Wien, completing it from 1993 to 1995. Prior to their MBA, from 1982 to 1987, Thomas Nemetz studied Mechanical Engineering/Business Administration/Computer Science at Technische Universität Graz, receiving a DI degree. More recently, in 2018 and 2019, they obtained a Legally Appointed Expert for Engineering degree from Bundesministerium für Digitalisierung. Additionally, Thomas Nemetz holds several certifications, including a qualification in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen Maschinenbau from Bundesministerium für Digitalisierung und Wirtschaftsstandort in July 2019, an Open Water Diver certification from PADI, a Privat Pilot Licence from the Federal Aviation Administration, and a Yachtmaster Coastal, Lakes and Rivers certification from the Federal Ministry of Labour, Family & Youth.
