Olavur Ellefsen

Olavur Ellefsen is a prominent business leader with extensive experience as CEO and co-founder of Flowcore since January 2023. Ellefsen serves as Chairman of the Board and Board Member for Ocean Rainforest, an organization focused on growing local rainforests in oceans globally, and has held leadership roles at the University of the Faroe Islands since January 2017. Further contributions include Chairman of the Board at Klintra, a software development company founded as a management buyout in 2016, and CEO of Tokni, a software firm. Ellefsen has been instrumental in promoting the Faroese IT sector as Chairman and Founder of the Faroese IT Industry Association since March 2014. Previous roles include CEO and Chairman at Globe Tracker, enhancing supply chain visibility, and leadership at the Gender Equality Board of the Faroe Islands from February 2016 to January 2020. Ellefsen holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Science, alongside a Bachelor of Science from Copenhagen Business School.
