Daniel Olivares

VP, Peru at Oceana

Daniel is a seasoned advocate and communicator.

Until recently, he served as an elected representative in Peru’s Congress representing Lima. In Congress, Daniel championed important causes, including the environment, affordable housing and other issues, successfully bringing legislation to fruition. Previously, Daniel was the head of Social Communications for Prime Minister Fernando Zavala, a position in which he led a large team charged with both communicating the government’s work effectively to the people of Peru and coordinating communications for the different federal Ministries. Before joining government, Daniel co-founded COPILOTO, a communications and PR agency dedicated to social impact issues that has grown to become one of the leading independent communications agencies in Peru.
