Ian Myers

Ian Myers is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles across various organizations. As the Founder and CEO of Oceans since March 2021, Ian has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation. Previously, Ian served in several key positions, including New Products at Uzabase, Inc., and as a Venture Partner at Innovation Global Capital. Leadership roles at Quartz and NewsPicks USA, LLC established Ian's expertise in managing platforms and guiding organizations through transitions, including the acquisition of NewsPicks by Quartz. Ian's background also includes investment experience at White Star Capital and a strategic role at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. An early career at the Stanford Asia Pacific Research Center focused on enhancing relations between Japan and Silicon Valley through research and event initiatives. Ian holds a Master of Arts degree in International Policy from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in Literary Studies and Asian Studies from Bard College at Simon's Rock.
