Timmy Li

Timmy Li began their professional career in 2014 as a Waiter at The Peninsula Chicago LLC. In 2018, they took on a role as a Junior Quantitative Trader at WH Trading LLC, where they operated high frequency trading strategies and assisted the trading team with back-testing and conceptualizing new trading strategies in python. Also in 2018, they began working as a Research Technician at UChicago Medicine, where they developed the pypi package cynet and utilized it and Midway to generate predictive models on Chicago's crime data. In 2020, they joined Ocient as a Software Engineer Intern, then a Software Engineer l, and finally a Software Engineer ll, where they helped build the world's fastest database and implemented arrays, tuples, and geospatial types in C++.

Timmy Li obtained their Master's in Computer Science from the University of Chicago in 2020, having previously attended the same university between 2014 and 2018, where they studied Economics and Mathematics.
