Shane Gill

Shane Gill is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience, primarily at Octopus Deploy since October 2014, where Shane progressed from a Test Engineer to a Lead Software Engineer. In the role of Lead Software Engineer, Shane co-created and led the Fire and Motion team, addressing unplanned work and customer needs. Previous roles included Senior Software Engineer, where Shane led mission-oriented teams, and Software Engineer, focusing on product development to enhance Octopus Deploy's capabilities. Prior to Octopus Deploy, Shane worked as a Game Programmer at Kookaburra Technology, Inc., resolving performance issues for MCPVP, and held software development positions at Smart Business Intelligence Pty Ltd, SAFcomm, Altonant, and global-roam Pty Ltd. Shane holds a Bachelor of IT in Software Engineering from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor in Computer Science from Dalhousie University.
