Charbel Rizk, PhD

Charbel Rizk, PhD, is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering and technology leadership. As the Founder CEO and Chief Technology Officer at Oculi since March 2019, Charbel has been instrumental in driving innovation. In addition to this role, Charbel serves as an Associate Research Professor, S&T/Innovation Consultant, and Entrepreneur at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering since November 2016. Previously, Charbel held significant positions at JHU/APL and JHU/ECE from August 2001 to October 2016, contributing as an Innovation Lead, Principal Systems Engineer, and Principal Research Scholar. Charbel began the career as a Senior Systems Engineer at Boeing Douglas from May 1999 to July 2001, focusing on avionics for unmanned combat air vehicles, and continued as a Senior Systems Engineer at Boeing North American from June 1997 to April 1999, where critical problem-solving efforts were made on production issues.
