He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (IME-Instituto Militar de Engenharia, 1982), and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (COPPEAD-UFRJ, 1985). From 1985 to 1988, he worked for Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, in charge of the Business Planning Area.
He moved to the Odebrecht Group in 1988, where he started his career performing managerial functions in different units such as Controlling, Treasury, Project and Corporate Finance.
Appointed as CFO for several Odebrecht Group companies such as Odebrecht Engenharia & Construção (E&C), Santo Antonio Energia SA, Odebrecht Energy, among others. Since 2013, he has served as the CFO of Ocyan SA.
