Tim Sandberg has a diverse work experience in the field of IT. Tim currently works as an AWS Security Engineer at ODH, Inc. since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at 2nd Watch as a Cloud Security Engineer from February 2020 to January 2021, and as a Security Analyst from October 2018 to February 2020. Tim also had a brief stint at NDM as a Lead Firewall Engineer from July 2018 to September 2018, and as a Security Engineer from March 2018 to July 2018. Before that, they worked at NoaNet as a Network Analyst II from January 2017 to March 2018, and as a Network Analyst I from September 2015 to December 2016. In 2014, Tim worked at Deaconess Hospital as a PC Support Technician, and at Avista as a Windows 7 Deployment Technician. Tim started their career with an internship at Spokane Tech Resource LLC in August 2013.
Tim Sandberg began their education in 2010 at Interface College-Spokane, where they earned an Associate of Applied Technology (AAT) degree in Network Administration. During their time at Interface College-Spokane, they studied network design, maintenance, and security.
Tim then pursued another AAT degree in Computer Systems Support at the same college, completing this program in 2013. This degree focused on computer applications and technical support.
In 2014, Tim enrolled in Western Governors University and embarked on a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a specialization in IT - Security Emphasis. Tim completed this program in 2018. The field of study for this degree is not specified.
In addition to their formal education, Tim has obtained various certifications. In 2015, they earned the Linux+ certification from CompTIA, as well as the LPIC-1 and LPIC-1: Linux Server Professional certifications from the Linux Professional Institute. Later that year, they also obtained the CCNA certification from Cisco.
In 2018, Tim attained the CCNA Security 210-260 certification from Cisco and Watchguard Fireware Essentials certification from WatchGuard Technologies. Tim further expanded their certifications in 2019 by obtaining the AWS - Certified Security - Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services.
Tim also holds two certifications from LogRhythm: the LogRhythm Platform Administrator and the LogRhythm Security Analyst. The dates of acquisition for these certifications are not provided.
