Jon Slater has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jon started as a Programmer Analyst at USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service in 1983 and worked there until 1994. Jon then joined Qualcomm as a Firmware Engineer, where they worked from 1997 to 2003. Afterward, they worked at VMC as a Firmware Engineer from 2003 to 2005. From 2005 to 2015, they worked at Hewlett-Packard in various roles, including Firmware Test Engineer and Firmware Engineer. In 2015, they joined Amazon Web Services as a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer, and in 2016, they became an Engineer at Odyssey Space Research. Jon currently holds the position of Boulder Lab Manager at Odyssey Space Research since November 2017.
Jon Slater attended the University of Oklahoma from 1979 to 1983, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Jon then went on to Colorado State University from 1994 to 1997, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science.
