Jason Banks, EIT, currently serves as a Mechanical Engineer in the Capital Projects and Technical Services department at Oglethorpe Power Corporation since May 2022. Prior to this role, Jason held the position of Mechanical Reliability Engineer III at International Paper from January 2019 to April 2022, where responsibilities included developing maintenance policies, conducting root cause failure analyses, and optimizing equipment reliability. Earlier experience includes an internship at Huber Technology focusing on biosolids engineering and a field services engineering internship at Storm Technologies, where Jason led a team in optimizing coal-fired power plant systems. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Certificate in Automotive Technology from NASCAR Technical Institute.
