Halvar Larsen

Halvar Larsen has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Halvar started their career in the Royal Norwegian Air Force as an Aircraft mechanic from 1982 to 1985. Halvar then joined Kværner Oilfield Products as a Subsea Engineer/Supervisor from 1991 to 1998, taking on roles such as a Project Manager and Engineering Manager. From 1998 to 2000, they worked at Interwell AS as a Project Manager. Halvar then joined Teekay Petrojarl AS as a Project Manager/Senior Subsea Engineer from 2000 to 2006. Larsen then worked at Det norske oljeselskap ASA in various roles, including Chief Engineer from 2013 to 2017. Currently, they serve as the VP Subsea & Marine at OKEA ASA, a position they have held since 2017.

Halvar Larsen has a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Narvik University College (HiN), which they obtained from 1985 to 1989. Halvar then pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering, with their thesis and diploma thesis conducted at the Institute of Marine Machinery at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1989 to 1991.
