Megha Kalra

Megha Kalra is a seasoned science communicator and administrator with a comprehensive background in strategic communications within the science and public health sectors. Currently serving as a Science Communicator and Administrator at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University since August 2021, Megha collaborates closely with the President and CEO to craft messages. Previously, Megha held the position of Science Communication Manager at Impact Media, where projects included strategic communications for several EU-level organizations. Additional roles include establishing the digital media strategy for Club SciWri, participating in communication projects with the Deep Knowledge Group, and conducting research on RNA Quality Control mechanisms as part of the Master's thesis at NCCR RNA & Disease. Megha's educational credentials include a Master's degree in Science Writing from The Johns Hopkins University, a Certificate in Science Writing for Popular Media from the University of Cambridge, and multiple degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from ETH Zürich and the University of Bern, along with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Glasgow.
