Rafael M. Chagas (MSc, EMBA) has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles.
Starting in 2023, Chagas will be working at Olam Agri as the VP of HR - Regional Head & Global Business Partner.
Previously, they worked at DuPont from 2019 to 2023, where they held multiple roles including Global HR & M&A Integration Partner (M&M Divestiture to Celanese), Global HR Partner & EMEA Region Lead, and Senior Manager - HR Engineering Polymers & EMEA Region Lead.
Before their time at DuPont, Chagas worked at Louis Dreyfus Company from 2011 to 2019 as the Head of Human Resources - Europe, Middle East & Africa, Head of Human Resources - Middle East & Africa, HR Operations & Total Rewards Sr. Manager - Brazil, and LATAM Compensation & Benefits Manager.
Prior to that, they worked at DHL as an HR Leader (Business Partner) - Consumer and Retail Operations and HR Leader (Compensation & Organizational Development).
Chagas began their professional career at Maxion Wheels as a Corporate Trainee and Mercer Human Resources Consulting as an Intern (Reward Consultant).
Throughout their career, Chagas has demonstrated expertise in HR leadership, M&A integration, talent management, and strategic planning.
Rafael M. Chagas holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Executive Development & General Management from Fundação Dom Cabral, which they earned from 2013 to 2014. Rafael also obtained a Master's degree (MSc) in Human Resources - Total Rewards Programs, Transparency x Effectiveness from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo from 2008 to 2010. Rafael has an MBA in Project Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, completed between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor's degree from FACAMP - Faculdades de Campinas, majoring in Business School from 2001 to 2005. Rafael Chagas has pursued further education through various programs including a Post-MBA Program in Marketing & Leadership from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2018, Organizational Leadership from IMD in 2018, and studies in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Geneva in 2019. Rafael has also obtained a certification in Emotional Intelligence from Escola Conquer in 2020.
