Darryl (Deri) Draper-Amason, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Project Scientist at Old Dominion University's Center for Mission Engineering since June 2025, while also contributing as a Board of Directors Academic Committee Member and Case Competition Chair for the International Society for Performance Improvement. Actively involved with the Virginia Department of Education's #GoOpenVA initiative since April 2017, Draper-Amason is a founding member of the Education Resources Advisory Board. At Old Dominion University, a role as Provost Fellow focuses on developing programming and policies for the Center for High Impact Practices. Additional experience includes founding Collaborate2Learn, delivering e-learning programs, and various academic positions, including Assistant Professor at Northern Illinois University and instructional roles at Penn State University. Draper-Amason holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State University, alongside an MEd from Penn State Great Valley and a BA in Art History from Temple University.
