Charmaine Gouws currently serves as the Assistant Group Company Secretary and Legal Advisor at Old Mutual Namibia since May 2019. Prior to this role, Charmaine was a Legal Practitioner at Van der Merwe-Greeff Andima Inc from January 2015 to May 2019, having been admitted as an attorney in the High Court of Namibia on June 24, 2016. Charmaine began training as a Candidate Legal Practitioner during tenure at the Justice Training Centre. Earlier experience includes working as an Administrative Secretary at North West University Potchefstroom Campus, where responsibilities encompassed coordinating administrative tasks and supporting the Senior Administrator. Charmaine also served as Chairperson of the Student Law Council of Potchefstroom, leading the organization to win accolades for leadership and performance. Academic qualifications include a Masters (LLM) in Estate Law and Planning and an LLB Honours in Law, both obtained from North-West University.
