Imtiyaaz Bester

Imtiyaaz Bester is an experienced professional in occupational health, safety, and environmental management. Since December 2020, Imtiyaaz has served as the Occupational Health, Safety and Business Resilience Manager at Old Mutual Limited, overseeing health and safety management for over 360 branches across South Africa. Prior to this role, Imtiyaaz was an Environmental Health Safety Specialist at ABB from January 2015 to December 2020, advising on safety, health, and environmental matters while managing OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 systems. Imtiyaaz began a career at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd as a Safety Officer from January 2012 to December 2014, focusing on safety management for contractors at Kriel Power Station, and also had an internship with the City of Cape Town in 2010. Imtiyaaz holds a Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Management from Cape Peninsula University of Technology and an Advanced Diploma in International Health & Safety Management from Oxford Brookes University.
