Mel Palmer

Mel Palmer, SPHR, currently serves as the Director of Total Rewards at Omaha Public Power District since November 2022. Prior experience includes over a decade at Lincoln Electric System, where roles ranged from Manager of Human Resources to Interim Manager of Employee Resources, overseeing various HR functions including Learning and Development and Wellness. Earlier career experience includes positions at Home Depot, culminating in the role of HR Manager from 2001 to 2010. Mel Palmer holds a Master's degree in Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources and Accounting, both obtained from Doane University, with the master's degree completed in 2009 and the bachelor's in 2006.
