Hani Bou-Assi

Hani Bou-Assi is a seasoned financial services professional with extensive experience in various managerial and investigative roles. Currently serving as a Senior Investigator at OBSI - Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments since June 2022, Hani previously held senior positions at CIBC, including Senior Financial Services Specialist and Senior Branch Manager, from September 2013 to June 2022. Prior experience includes positions at HSBC Bank Canada as Branch Manager and Premier Relationship Manager from November 2002 to August 2013, and at HSBC Bank Lebanon as a Customer Relationship Representative from September 1997 to September 2002. Hani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing from the Lebanese American University and has furthered professional education through the Canadian Securities Institute and the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

As a free alternative to the legal system, we work informally and confidentially to find fair outcomes to disputes about banking and investment products and services.
