Francis Karasek has work experience as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at Omdena since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Scientist at Fellowship.AI from May 2020 to August 2020. Francis'sresponsibilities included combining YOLOv3 and person re-identification models for surveillance video analytics, researching unsupervised and SSL methods to improve facial recognition, and creating a model pipeline for cooking pizzas. Francis also worked as a Research Assistant at the Ultrafast nano-optics Group from December 2017 to December 2018. Additionally, they served as a College Physics Tutor at CCSF from January 2014 to May 2016.
Francis Karasek completed their Associate's degree in Physics from City College of San Francisco from 2013 to 2016. Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley from 2016 to 2018.
