Michael Yang

Michael Yang is the Managing Partner at OMERS Ventures, a position they have held since 2019.

Prior to joining OMERS Ventures, Yang was a Managing Director at Comcast Ventures from 2009 to 2018. At Comcast Ventures, Yang was responsible for investing in emerging technologies such as health tech, IoT, and VR/AR. Some of the companies they invested in include Accolade (healthcare navigation), Healthline (healthcare information services), BodyMedia (wearable activity tracker), Talix (risk adjustment for payers/providers), Brightside (financial wellness), August (smart home locks), Automatic (connected car solutions), Precision Hawk (enterprise drone services), and Pony.ai (autonomous mobility).

In 2012, Yang launched the west coast presence for Comcast Interactive Capital (which became Comcast Ventures in 2012). Michael also led LP investment in Xiang Michael Capital (Chinese growth stage VC).

Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, Yang was with KiwiCo, Inc. and Accolade, Inc.

Michael Yang received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. Michael then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
