Scott Abernathy

Scott Abernathy, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in agronomy and golf course management. As the Corporate Director of Agronomy at Omni Hotels & Resorts since September 2016, Scott oversees agronomic, budgetary, and capital planning for 11 golf properties across the United States. Previous roles include Director of Golf Operations and Landscape at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where Scott directed operations for a 400-acre golf property and managed five PGA Tour events. Scott has also served as a Golf Course Consultant for CenterLine Solutions, Golf Course Superintendent for Four Seasons, and Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Bent Tree Country Club. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Turf and Turfgrass Management, a Master’s degree in the same field, and a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, all from Texas A&M University.
