Louis Yau has a strong background in software engineering and development, with experience in various industries. Louis is currently the Director of Engineering at Omnichat, where they are responsible for system architecture design and full-stack development. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Architect at Omnichat, where they designed and developed customer service and marketing features for social messaging channels. Louis also has experience at LKK Health Products Group Ltd., where they worked as a Software Engineer II, developing an e-commerce system and integrating payment gateways. Louis has also worked at Golden Dynamic as an Analyst Programmer, developing movie ticketing apps and maintaining them for different movie theaters. Additionally, they worked at Aedify Technology Limited as a Web/Mobile Developer, where they developed music learning and Chinese writing mobile applications and an online mathematics quiz system.
Louis Yau completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at The University of Hong Kong from 2009 to 2012. Louis then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Technology, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in WhatsApp Business Platform Foundational Sales Training and WhatsApp Business Platform Foundational Technical Training from Meta, with the year of obtaining the certifications being 2023.
