Cinar has extensive academic experience, having worked as a Lecturer and Research Assistant at Istanbul Technical University from August 2005 to April 2018, and was a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Florida from January 2014 to July 2015. Cinar's educational background includes a Postdoctoral degree in Systems and Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida, a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the same institution, and an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. Additionally, Cinar participated as an exchange student in Production and Systems Engineering at Universidade do Minho in 2010.
