Martijn A. van Koten

Martijn A. van Koten has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Executive Officer for Fuels & Feedstock and Refining at OMV since July 2021. Prior to this role, Martijn held several senior positions at Borealis from November 2013 to June 2021, including EVP Base Chemicals and Operations, and was a member of the Executive Board. Martijn's career at Shell spanned from 1994 to 2013, where key roles included VP Supply & Distribution Americas and GM of the Bukom Manufacturing site. Earlier in the career, Martijn served in various capacities at Shell, beginning as a technologist and advancing to GM of the Gothenburg Refinery. Martijn's initial professional experience includes military service as a Platoon commander in air defense. Martijn holds a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, graduated cum laude from Delft University of Technology in 1993.
