Michael Press, CPA, currently serves as Senior Finance Manager at On Top of the World Communities, overseeing financial operations for a community with 5,000 residents. Previously, Michael held the position of Business Manager and Controller at the National Senior Games Association, where responsibilities included developing annual budgets and completing audits. As Controller at Plato Academy, management of financial operations for 10 charter schools and a nonprofit management company with $30 million in annual revenues was a key focus, along with generating funding for new school facilities. Michael has extensive experience as Chief Financial Officer for Metropolitan Regional Info Systems, Inc., consolidating multiple listing systems, and as Director of Finance and Operations at SBC Communications Ltd., achieving significant customer growth and managing substantial budgets. Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Finance, from American University.

As the premier 55+ active adult community in Florida, On Top of the World Communities is an award-winning, family owned building and land development company founded in 1947 by patriarch, the late Sidney Colen. In 1975, he brought the family experience and vision to Ocala, Florida with the purchase of Circle Square Ranch, a continually working cattle ranch. The passion for creativity in land development and home building flows in the Colen blood. Kenneth Colen, Sidney’s son, never left his side as he grew up in the business and has led the company since 1981, currently serving as President of all operations. Today, On Top of the World remains the oldest, privately owned land developer in the state of Florida.
