Tanya Alvis has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Tanya currently serves as the VP Commercial at Onafriq since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Africa's Talking from July 2018 to December 2020, where they played a crucial role in international expansion. Tanya also worked at Pathfinder International from July 2015 to July 2018 as a Communications Manager and Technical Writer, contributing to funding proposals and organizational reports. In 2015, they briefly worked as a Social Media Strategist and Writer at Chicamod.com. Tanya began their career with roles at Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust and DANUM MEDICAL SERVICES LIMITED, where they gained experience in customer service and front desk receptionist duties. Tanya also held positions at Edinburgh University Student Association and Edinburgh University Students' Association, where they worked as an Administrative Assistant and Sales Assistant, respectively, handling various administrative and sales responsibilities.
Tanya Alvis holds a Master's Degree in Development Studies from IHEID, which was obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained another Master's Degree in International Relations from the University of Edinburgh, which they attended from 2007 to 2011. Tanya completed their high school education at Brookhouse International Schools Kenya from 1996 to 2007, where they received a high school diploma.
