Dr. Amitabha Mazumder is a highly experienced medical oncologist who brings more than 35 years of expertise to The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation. Dr. Mazumder received his medical education from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and completed his residency and internship at Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson. He fellowed in hematology and medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Maryland, where he also conducted research in immunology under Dr. Steven Rosenberg and NCI. Dr. Mazumder has contributed to more than 140 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and has a number of grants, patents, abstracts, book chapters, and invited presentations to his credit. As principal investigator, he has led more than 50 clinical trials in multiple myeloma and transplant in the last 15 years.
