Geoff Olynyk

Geoff Olynyk serves as the Director of Strategy and Business Development for New Nuclear Growth at Ontario Power Generation since November 2023. In this role, Geoff is focused on building a competitive client-facing nuclear business by developing business strategies and aligning resources for growth in both regulated and private nuclear developments. Prior to joining Ontario Power Generation, Geoff worked at McKinsey & Company for over a decade, where roles included Senior Expert and Associate Partner within the Sustainability Practice, addressing climate change, energy transition strategies, and decarbonization for both public and private sector clients. Geoff holds a Ph.D. in Applied Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Queen’s University. Early career experiences include research and engineering internships across various organizations, including the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center and Hatch.
