Erik Cortes has over 20 years of work experience, starting as a Communication Center Supervisor at AAA Central-West Jersey in 1996. Erik then worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Census Bureau as a Survey Supervisor and later as an Area Manager from 1997 to 2000. From 2001 to 2010, they were a Regional Manager at Tele Atlas. In 2013, they joined Ookla as Director of Field Operations, a position they currently hold.
Erik Cortes obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Rutgers University from 1990 to 1994. Erik also earned a Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Washington, studying from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, they obtained a Geographic Information Systems certification from the University of Washington at an unspecified time.
