Jared Maddox has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Jared started their career as a Software Development Intern at GTECH in 2013 and later worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Amazon in 2014. In 2015, Jared joined Amazon as a Software Engineer and took on the responsibility of leading a team to create a framework for music services used in Amazon Music on the Alexa platform. Jared also designed and built one of the Voice Experience services as part of this project.
In 2018, Jared joined Remitly as a Software Engineer for a year, after which they moved to Ada Developers Academy in 2019 as a Software Instructor. Jared taught software development and provided guidance to students until 2021. Following this, they worked at Highspot as a Software Engineering Manager from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are working at Ookla as a Software Engineer from June 2023 onwards.
Jared Maddox pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin, completing their studies from 2011 to 2015.
